Michael Sterling & Associates - An Entertainment Public Relations and Production Co.
In six short years, the name "Sterling's Upstairs" has become synonymous with the most critically acclaimed supper club  experience of any kind in Southern California.

Founded in 2006, Producers Michael Sterling and Tony Monsour single-handedly brought back the (then) diminishing art of cabaret to SoCal patrons of musical theater when they first opened Sterling's Upstairs at the legendary Vitello's Restaurant in Studio City, CA.  It was there that they presented over 350 headlining acts and more than 400 performers... including stars from Broadway, national and regional musical theater stages, television and film, and distinguished nightclub artists dedicated to the music of the Great American Songbook and classic adult contemporary pop.

Sterling's Upstairs remains not only a constant on the entertainment scene in Los Angeles, but the standard by which all other such venues are judged.  On March 18, 2012, Sterling’s Upstairs at Vitello's closed its doors following its final concert there and reopened April 1, 2012 at one of LA's newest California gourmet dining gastro pubs and entertainment destinations: The Federal Bar and Restaurant, located in the heart of North Hollywood's trendy NoHo Arts District.
.
Sterling's Upstairs at The Federal adds a  formidable dimension to the city's already hottest hot spot for dining, dancing, comedy and jazz... all while embracing the recently renovated, cutting edge interior of a former 1926 bank building.

To say that the past meets the present at The Federal, is to say that (with a vintage feel still intact), the new Sterling's Upstairs is ensconced in state-of-the-art lighting and sound and video technology, a thrust proscenium stage, a full bar, a private outdoor patio overlooking the NoHo surroundings, and designer floors on which formal dining tables and VIP couch/booth seating will accommodate approximately 100 guests. Valet parking is offered in The Federal's own lot, as is ample street parking in the immediate area... and a tiered, covered public parking structure a half block east.

The Federal's impressive neighbors include the historic El Portal Theatre, the Art Institute of California, the NoHo Arts Center, the nationally acclaimed Deaf West Theatre, the distinguished Anteaus (classicial theatre) Company, and numerous Equity-waiver, professional theater companies. The NoHo Arts District is also home to the world renowned Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and Laemmle Movie Theatres; newly constructed, high rise condo living; and Metro Rail... a rapid transit rail system serving 70 stations in Los Angeles County.
