Michael Sterling & Associates - An Entertainment Public Relations and Production Co.

As a result, we are able to provide clients with the amount of time and energy necessary to meet their needs and expectations, as well as a variety of services not offered by any other such company.  Contrary to the operation of most other public relations and production companies, clients do not have to compete for attention as one among hundreds on a company roster.

Whether an account is of considerable size, or "one on the rise," each MSA client is treated with the same hands-on attention and detail in creating stimulating promotions and/or productions which will generate important media publicity and support.

In public relations, our background is wide-ranging and not only includes Entertainment and Sports stars, but Theatre and Music, Literature, Fashion and Beauty.  We blend innovative ideas with ambitious, strategical planning, and agressive follow-up.  And, because diplomacy and courtesy are absolute in our communication skills, we are repeatedly successful in acquiring the most significant and far reaching exposure possible.  Not only have our years of experience solidified relations with top tier media in Los Angeles and New York, but a variety of media in primary and secondary cities across the United States and throughout the world.

We  are pleased to say that MS&A  has also become a vital part of LA's cultural landscape.  Whether producing and/or directing a timeless Broadway classic such asThe Sound of Music (right); Annie, an Off-Broadway spoof of Busby Berkeley movie musicals like Dames at Sea;  or a headlining cabaret concert engagement with such Broadway, television and film stars as Cortes Alexander, David Burnham, Beth Malone, Jason Graae, Judy Norton, Ilene Graff, David Engel, Heather Lee, Tami Tappan Damiano, Eric Millegan, Euan Morton, Kim Huber, Lisa Livesay, Hal Linden, Lainie Kazan, Rachel York, the combination of MSA's production and public relations efforts  register as critically acclaimed, award-winning theatrical contributions to the Arts in Southern California.

During fall of 2009, Mr. Sterling partnered with Broadway and Television Star Dean Butler  (Little House on the Prairie) and Legacy Documentaries to co-produce and co-host Los Angeles theatre packages for BroadwayWorld.com TV.

As ongoing producers for the world's largest internet site devoted to all things Broadway and theatre related, Butler and Sterling  delivered a dazzling array of 5+ minute packages on such Los Angeles hit shows as the U.S. premiere of Jason Robert Brown's Parade as presented by London's Donmar Warehouse and the Center Theatre Group at LA's Mark Taper Forum; the world premiere of the new musical Baby It's You at the Pasadena Playhouse; the most influential musical theatre talent competition in Los Angeles: LA's Next Great Stage Star,  the year-long run of the multi award-winning juke box musical Life Could be a Dream at Hollywood's Hudson Theatre; the national tour and Los Angeles  premiere of Lincoln Center's 7-time, 2008 Tony Award winning musical South Pacific at the Center Theatre Group's Ahmanson Theatre; the debut of Rent  directed by Neil Patrick Harris at the historic Hollywood Bowl; and Annie starring Andrea McArdle for Musical Theatre West at the Carpenter Center for the Performing Arts in Long Beach, CA... and others.

In April, 2010, Sterling developed a much needed media resource for supporting and promoting the performing arts in Los Angeles, on Broadway and beyond.

Immediately embraced by one of the internet's most popular radio networks LATalkRadio.com , State of the Arts took its first flight ibn May 31, 2019 with Special Guest and Broadway icon Carol Lawrence on board.  The 50 minute, weekly, Thursday series presented by Breakdown Services and Performing Arts Live, is co-produced and co-hosted by Mr.Sterling with Los Angeles Ovation nominated actor and theatre professional Paul Stroili.

Entertaining, yet slightly irreverent, State of the Arts features insightful discussions and reviews of the arts, a live arts calendar, and guest interviews with celebrities and stars of the arts such as Broadway legends Carol Channing and Carol Lawrence, Academy Award winner George Chakiris (West Side Story), Emmy Award winner Ed Asner, Tony Award winners Donna McKechnie (A Chorus LIne), Sammy Williams (A Chorus Line), John Lloyd Young (Jersey Boys), Daisy Eagan (The Secret Garden), Tony Award winner Raul Esparza, multi Award winning composer John Kander, Emmy Award winner Richard Chamberlain, film icons Tab Hunter and Malcolm McDowell and Adademy Award nominees Russ Tamblyn (Seven Brides for Seven Brothers), Anne Archer (Fatal Attraction) and and many others.
